  1. If an object was accelerating before it started on its trajectory, do you only use the final speed it attains before it enters freefall and the height to solve how far it goes?

  4. To find components.
    1. Draw the vector
    2. Make it look like a right triangle by drawing it's legs.
    3. Use the angle and the hyp to find the value of the legs
    Use sin and cos
    4. The value of the legs/sides are the components 1 in the x and 1 in the y
$note: if there is no angle one of the components is always 0

  5. Ezio.
What it was doing before is not the question.
So in short we don't care unless we are asked.
All conditions are stated for the motion as it exists at t=0s
From what I gathered you are trying to say the final speed it gained while it is accelerating must be equal to the initial speed for free fall?
Yes. The condition as at the end of part1 are always = to the conditions at the beginning of part 2.

  6. for the horizontal projectile motion problem #10 I am unsure what to do! I have drawn my picture and am not sure where to go from there!
