Yes the tensions are in the rope. So a cable a string ect... They will always be pulling on the object. As you can not push with a string, I have tried!
Mr.C i dont know if you want us asking questions on the work due Friday but for number 5 should we assume a certain mass? I don't see how to get the forces without a mass.
so for the ones that are... hanging? i guess, that would be tension, right?
