The key element of this video is to be sure to keep up with your work, if you wait until the last minute to study for a test, you will fail horribly.
ReplyDeleteThe key element is that I cannot get it to work. When I try to go to the video, it just takes me to the Youtube main screen.

The key element is to always ask for help whenever you are in need of it and not to put off the problem or else it will just become much worse.
ReplyDelete- Jaz Popa
The key element of the video was that you cannot procrastinate with your work, because in the end it could cause problems in the future.
ReplyDelete- Madison Hull
the key element of the video is that you must do your work when you get it. don't keep putting it off, it only hurts you.
ReplyDelete-Nick Giunta
This video shows that procrastination will always hurt you in some way or another. Then the key element was that you can't keep putting off your problems, because they will only accumulate, and make things even worse. Don't get your wagon too far stuck in the mud kids. -Harristottle Freon
ReplyDeleteThis video shows the negative effects that procrastinating can have. The key element is to complete work as soon as possible and to stay away from procrastinating. Procrastinating can lead to falling behind in class and things will only get worse down the road when assignments get bigger and more time consuming.
ReplyDeleteI love this show! Such an original.
ReplyDeleteThe key element in this video is that procrastination leads to nothing but stress and anxiety. This also cause the work being done to be rushed and usually not the best effort. Brother Bear knew nothing in the lesson because he neglected to do the work and put it off for the next day. Had he done it, he would not have gotten a 0. There's a little saying I like to say, "procrastinators: leaders of tomorrow."

the key element of the video is never to put work off to a later time. Even if you are sick, it is important to ask your teacher for the work that you missed and you must complete it. If you do not complete this work, it will show on your grades in that class. Work should be completed as soon as it is assigned.
ReplyDeleteThe key element of this video is that nothing good can result from procrastinating. All that can happen when you rush through work is you end up doing a poor job on it and you don't understand the material, which can impact your grade more so during a test or quiz.
ReplyDelete-Kevin Meglathery
The key element in the video is responsibility. Unless you 100% physically incapable of completing an assignment, it should be done as soon as possible. If you procrastinate, your workload will snowball and you are likely to be hit by an avalanche resulting in failure at school and life. Also, the teacher bear did not assign the work and test for his own personal benefit, he has nothing to gain from them. He puts them out for the sole benefit of the students. His job is to provide the education and material but it is up to the students to do them and reap the benefits. It is not the instructor's responsibility to make sure the assignments are completed and he has a personal life which he would much rather attend to than chasing after a lazy student. Because the bear kid was physically capable of doing the work (he was fit enough to play with toys and jump out of bed) he is the only one who can be held accountable for the 0. The moral of the story is it is not up to Mr. Crane to make sure you are doing your work; he is doing his by assigning it and only you are capable of choosing whether or not to become successful.

PS: John DiNofrio's link works and Mr. Crane's does not
The key element in the video is priorities. In the video Brother used being sick as an excuse to put off the worksheets he needed to take care of to keep up with what his class was doing in his absence. He chose to play with his dinosaurs and watch television instead of doing his work. When he got back to school he was unprepared for the test that was being held that day, and his grade reflected his lack of effort. Doing poorly on the test made him feel bad, keeping him up at night, but this could have been avoided. This video is an example of the consequences of prioritizing less important things ahead of the things that need to get done, like schoolwork. It is up to you to make sure you are getting done what you need to get done.
ReplyDelete-Alexa Kilbane (Mod 9)
The key element in this video has to do with responsibility and knowing what comes first. Without having priorities set straight and being responible, your grades will inevitably fall apart, and you will struggle with schoolwork. In the video, the brother bear used being sick as a (really weak) excuse to avoid doing his worksheets. The result of his laziness, lack of responsibility, and lack of effort, let to 1) not doing the worksheets 2) not knowing there was a test scheduled for the day he got back, and 3) getting a zero on said test. The lesson to be learned simply is to set priorities straight, and stay consistent with work even if you're absent from school.
ReplyDelete-John Mairone
The key element in this video is that naming your children "brother" and "sister" is setting them up for failure. With that being said, there is no surprise that Brother failed at something other than his name. Brother's procrastination shows that responsibility plays a huge role in succeeding. Putting things off, not studying, etc. may take pressure off at that exact moment, but it will only bring you more stress in the end. The lesson learned is that there are consequences to your procrastination. Therefore being proactive will bring more success and being a procrastinator will only bring stress and failure.
ReplyDelete~Annamarie Nistico
The key element in this video is not to procrastinate. Procrastination won't get you anywhere, and in the end, the result is never good. Putting things off because you think you can do them later is what leads to the events Brother had to overcome. He was too busy playing and watching TV, and wasn't even thinking of school. He had an unexpected test, and that ended in a 0 that he had to confront his parents with. There will always be consequences to procrastination. "First things first," as my mom always said, and that could not be more true.
ReplyDelete~Justin Liu
The key element in this video is to not make poor excuses as to why you are slacking off and not getting work done. It is essential to be proactive and prioritize your time wisely in order to live a successful life. Brother bear also did not think things through. He should have realized the worksheets had important information and he would have to know the material before returning to school. However, his lack of responsibility caused him to do poorly on the test. The feeling he had while receiving a 0 was most likely did not balance out with the satisfaction he got while playing dinosaurs or watching his favorite t.v. show. Therefore, it is crucial to work hard at everything you do, always try your best, and be responsible.
ReplyDelete-Cassidy Scott
The key element in this video is responsibility. The video demonstrates the importance of responsibility, and the repercussions if responsibility is taken lightly. This video provides us with the life lesson that success as no shortcuts.

The key element of this video is to always be prepared and to never leave work until the last minute. If you procrastinate, all the work will catch up to you. It's better to just get the work done right away instead of worrying about it later. Otherwise, there will be consequences.
ReplyDelete-Katie Cabrera
The key element of the video is that it’s ok to make mistakes (everyone does), but you have to fix them early on and ask for help when you need it so that they won’t become permanent problems. In the video Brother's grandfather made a huge mistake by getting his wagon stuck in a bog. Instead of asking for help right away; he waited. Eventually, it was too late and his wagon sunk deep in the bog. The same sort of event happened to Brother. He ignored his worksheets and failed the test, but his biggest mistake was not telling his parents about the test. If Brother just told his parents from the start that he failed his test all the guilt and drama he faced could have easily been avoided.
ReplyDelete-Larissa Pastore, mod 9
The key element of this video is to not leave things until the last minute. In the video, Brother was sick and kept putting off the work Sister brought home for him. Each day the amount of homework he had to do just kept piling up. He just told Sister he was going to do it when he felt better. When he went back to school, he still had not completed his work. While talking to his friend, he was informed of the test. Because Brother had not done the work, he was completely unprepared. If you procrastinate, you might become stuck in the same situation Brother was. It is always better to get your work done early. Though it might seem to take away the stress if you put things off, in the end it will just make you more stressed out.
ReplyDelete-Morgan Schutz
The key element of the video is being responsible and doing your work. You should always do all your work when you get it rather than procrastinating it and putting it off. In the video the boy should have done his work when his sister brought it home for him rather than not doing it. Maybe then he wouldnt have gotten a zero on his test
ReplyDeleteThe key element touches on the dangers of procrastination. One should always prioritize and make sure all of their responsibilities are tackled so that they should receive the benefit of seeing their work effort progress and maintain the ability on themselves to become very successful in class. It is not up to anyone else to tend to important matters dutifully and diligently except oneself only. The option to make poor choices will ultimately lead to failure or painful consequences which is evidently shown in Brother's case.
ReplyDelete-Tiffany Nguyen
The key element of this post is that procrastination leads to failure. In order to achieve success, one must pace themselves appropriately and spread their work out over the time allotted to them. If one saves all their work and studying for the last minute, they will most likely fail. Even if they finish their work, it will be rushed and of very poor quality. However, if one does a little bit of work daily, they will not find themselves overwhelmed towards the end.
ReplyDelete-Erin Kiernan
Mr. Crane mentioned this in class so i'm not sure if we're still supposed to do it? i'm under the impression that it was a september 10th deal only but if not, The message of this video is do not procrastinate. Success depends on being organized and completing your work on time, and without those key characteristics your work will pile up and you will be unable to keep up and will ultimately fail.
ReplyDeleteThe key element of this video was to always make school work a priority. Otherwise, it will catch up with you and be a lot more trouble then it ever would have in the beginning. If the little boy would have taken the time to do the worksheets he mostly likely wouldn't have had to experience the anxiety of taking the test, failing the test, and having to admit to his failure. Now in addition to failing the test and disappointing everyone, he is still going to have to complete the worksheets only with much less of a time span then he had before. He would have been much better off if he just attempted the worksheets when home sick.
ReplyDelete-Jeana Fitzpatrick
They key to the video is to do the work assigned. If you do everything you are told to do when you are told to do it, you wont have any problems, but if you procrastinate, everything compiles quickly and results in bad grades.
ReplyDelete-Matthew Dods
The key to the video is never to procrastinate and always to do the work assigned to you. Schoolwork should be your number one priority. If Brother had done his worksheets, he would have been prepared for the test. Therefore, always do your work.
ReplyDeleteThe Berenstain Bears were trying to convey the wrongs of procrastination; one should keep in mind that while waiting last minute works on occasion, it does not mean the information will be absorbed. Putting priorities first is important and rewarding, and I would like to think that those who watched the video learned this, too.
ReplyDeleteThe key to the video is that if you wait until the last minute to get everything done, failure is highly. School is not supposed to be fun but that is no excuse for procrastinating. Had Brother actually completed his work rather than sit around all day, he would have been prepared for the test. It is important not to put your work off because it will only hurt you in the long run.
ReplyDelete~Taylor Nardone
The key element to this post was that if you don't put your school work as a top priority then it will be hard to figure out what your doing in class. Itnalso shows that homework will help you on the days lesson and without doing it it will be hard to understand your lessons

The key element of the video is to not procrastinate and be responsible. Brother Bear's misfortune is a prime example of Temporal Discounting, underestimating a reward based on its temporal proximity. The idea of recreating the ultimate Jurassic showdown immediately is definitely much more rewarding than getting a good math grade in a few days' time. However, Brother Bear soon realized that his procrastination has only made his life worse, and that he should have responsibly completed his work instead of suffering the consequences of not doing so.

Sorry, forgot to add name.
The key to this video relates to the consequences of procrastination. Brother Bear paid the price by getting a zero on his test by not completing the work sheets given to him by his sister. By not practicing, he learned very quickly how procrastinating and not being responsible gets him no where.
ReplyDeleteRachel Rha
The key element of the video is responsibility and ALWAYS doing your work. Brother Bear was sick at home and was supposed to complete the assignments from his teachers that Sister Bear gave him but instead he decided to play with his dinosaurs. Brother Bear didn't realize what the consequences of not doing his work would be so he had to learn the hard way. In the end Brother Bear finally realized that doing his homework and schoolwork when he was supposed to is the only way he will accomplish anything in life.

ReplyDeleteThe key element tells viewers to not procrastinate and have respect for your parents and teachers. In the video, Brother avoids doing the homework he is given while he is absent from school and sick in bed. He takes advantage of this, which shows a sense of disrespect, and also gets distracted from his worksheets he fails to complete. When he goes back to school, he is tested on the material he was supposed to learn when away from school. After flunking the test, he is forced to get the paper signed by showing it to his parents. His lack of respect towards his parents and his teacher causes him to not show the test to his mom and dad. This all started with procrastination and later leads to trouble as Brother's behavior and outlook on school drastically changes. He even fakes his sickness at one point in the story just to get excused from school, but he fails miserably. At the end of the video, Brother focuses on his work and learns to respect his parents and teacher.

The video's key elements are that homework has a purpose and procrastinating schoolwork will make things worse.

ReplyDeleteThis video demonstrates that procrastination leads to failure. School work is a high priority in life and should be done with time and effort. Brother Bear is a perfect example of why procrastination leads to failure. Because he stayed home sick and did not do any of the work given to him, he got a zero on his test. In order to succeed, it is important to stay on top of your work and put your best effort into it.
ReplyDeleteThe key element of this video is to get your work finished as soon as possible. You should never wait until the last minute, because then it may be too late.

DeleteThe key element to this video is that if you don't do the work you're supposed to, chances are that you're not going to be successful. Therefore if you're absent, just like Brother Bear was, then it is crucial to get any and all work you missed and complete it so you don't fall behind. If you don't do so, then you are the only one who suffers from your lack of effort.
ReplyDeleteMaddie Williscroft
As we saw in this video, brother Bear came back to school before having caught himself up with the work. He did not do the worksheets as he was meant to and so he failed the test. The key element is to keep up with the work when we are out of school, because it is our responsibility.
ReplyDeleteThe key element was to not leave anything for the last minute. I do this a lot and sometimes i'm in a real rush trying to get my homework or whatever done.

The key element in this video is that you shouldn't do anything at the last minute. If you did your homework on time and only what you had to do each day you wouldn't have to do it all at the same time and fail. You need do your homework to pass this class(physics)and you need to be responsible. This video totally shows what not to do to pass Mr. Cranes physics class.

ReplyDeleteThe main idea of this video is that procrastination leads to the wrong path. By not doing the work will only result failure. Moreover having a bad work ethic like not doing homework until the last moment will not be counted due to the lack of effort. In order to be more successful people must how effort and not be lazy when working to either get a good grade or to learn something out of that assignment.

.....
ReplyDeleteThe main idea of this video is to set your priorities and always knowing the consequences of being lazy. Brother bear waited until the last minute to even think about doing his worksheets, and by then, he was totally unprepared for the test the next week. You should always get your work done ahead of time, and in this case, Brother paid the price. He was too caught up in being sick and playing with his toys that he didn't even think there could be a test the next class. He wasn't thinking about school, and he totally mixed up his priorities because school comes before games. You should never wait for the last minute to do something because you will always rue the day you earned the big 0.
ReplyDelete~Mike Dalessio
You should never wait for the last opportunity to accomplish something because in the end,
The key element of the video is that you MUST have your priorities straight. Brother bear decided on his own accord to continue to play with his toys and watch "the bear stooges" because that was what he felt like doing, not what he was supposed to be doing. If his teacher thought enough of it to send worksheets home then it must've been important. So instead of planning ahead for the week/test that was coming he continued to do what he wanted. You should always have everything done before it's too late.
ReplyDeleteClearly, this video demonstrated how vitally necessary it is to ignore sickness at all costs, complete assigned work, and have a general grasp of its purpose(s) before it's actually due, and budget one's time wisely, in order to properly and enjoyably "play the game" (if you will). There's neither harm nor foul in Brother putting his humdrum, monotonous homework aside, in order to continue his resting period during sickness; however, he became at fault, when he decided to not even peruse his given worksheets, which would have allowed him to dominate his fractions test, ultimately impressing his outlandish, incompetent math teacher and wowing his fellow female classmates.

ReplyDeleteThe key element to this video is that you should always do your work whhen it is first assigned and don't wait. You should always ask people for help if you need it.
The video was about procrastination. When you procrastinate, you will find yourself in lots of trouble. Brother did not take the time to review his worksheets, and consequently failed the test. To make matters worse, he had to show the test to his parents. None of this would have happened had he done his worksheets when he was supposed to.
ReplyDeleteThe key element to this video is that Brother needs to put down his dinosaurs and do his homework. His sister is trying to be nice and bring him work to make up,but he is being immature and childish. He needs to forget about those toys and focus on school work, or at least get an Xbox or something. Come on, dinosaurs, step up your game Brother.
ReplyDeleteJack Fein
The key element to this video is to display procrastination as only leading to consequences. Brother Bear didn't do his homework the whole week he was out from school. Instead he messed around, watching TV and playing with his toys. When he went back to school, he wasn't prepared to take the test and he failed. You need to be prepared, organized, and ready for when you are absent from school.
ReplyDeleteSydney Portock
The key element to this video is that it portrays procrastination as a process which can only lead to failure. You must be diligent in your studies, unlike Brother Bear, if you wish to succeed. Brother Bear learned the hard way about the negative elements of procrastination when he spent his week home from school playing with his toys and finding ways to waste his time instead of getting his work done and preparing himself fpr his return to class. By allowing himself to fall behind, Brother Bear was caught in a pickle and was unable to sufficiently complete his work, which ended oin a ffailure on his test, and it was no one's fault but his own.
